"Authority exercised with humility, and obedience accepted with delight are the very lines along which our spirits live."

Hey Pastor Luis...God Bless,
Nice quote....one of your personal favorites?
Here R three of mine. Enjoy!

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter can not understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.
-Albert Einstein

To what greater inspiration and counsel can we turn than to the imperishable truth to be found in this Treasure House, the Bible?
-Queen Elizabeth

In life, many thoughts are born in the course of a moment, an hour, a day. Some are dreams, some are visions. Often, we are unable to distinguish between them. To some, they are the same; however, not all dreams are visions. Much energy is lost in fanciful dreams that never bear fruit. But visions are messages from the Great Spirit, each for a different purpose in life. Consequently, one persons vision may not be that of another. To have a vision, one must be prepared to receive it, and when it comes, to accept it. Thus when these inner urges become reality, only then can visions be fulfilled. The spiritual side of life knows everyone's heart and who to trust. How could a vision ever be given to someone to harbor if that person could not be trusted to carry it out. The message is simple: commitment precedes vision.

g,
Thanks. These are pretty good. I especially like the last one. The idea that "commitment precedes vision" is fundamental to any great work.

So glad you enjoyed them pastor. I agree, the last one is my favorite also. I saved the best for last!
What is that famous line of yours...oh yeah...Education,... Education... Education!
(LOL)
love you pastor

G,
Thanks, but that wouldn't be my quote. Though I do believe education is vital to a full life, I'm careful not to make it the solution for all of life's ills.

"Wisdom...Wisdom...Wisdom" would be closer to my "mantra".

I got that from Solomon.

yes you have said that!
That it is Not a quote you would live by... is something totally different and not what I meant. But that commitment precedes vision, is a valuable Lesson.

And obviously the difference between education and wisdom is crystal clear.
